Incorporating plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats into your meals can help combat the natural decline in metabolism and muscle mass that comes with aging.

One key aspect of nutrition is staying hydrated. As we age, our sense of thirst diminishes, leading to dehydration. Aim to drink plenty of water throughout the day, and consider incorporating hydrating foods such as cucumbers, tomatoes, and watermelon into your diet. Speak to your doctor before changing your diet to discuss your dietary and hydration needs.

Working up a little sweat and feeling a little muscle burn is normal during exercise; experiencing pain is not. If you feel pain when exercising, stop immediately.
